They provided a beautiful portfolio, including a comprehensive list of what is needed to make a successful short-term rental. We love that what you see is what you get. We have not been disappointed yet! Communication about issues that arise and facilitation to remedy those problems is quick and easy. The repair cost is deducted from the house commission to pay vendors, so I never had to worry about receiving an invoice and writing a check to pay for it. My house is well maintained. My cleaner is wonderful and goes above and beyond to ensure that each guest has the same positive experience as the last guest. We love reading our guest book and online reviews to know that our visitors have a wonderful time and make memories at our lake home that are almost as good as ours! As renters, our family visited SML several times and had some of our most memorable vacations there. Our first experience with Smith Mountain Lake Vacation Rentals was as renters during one of these vacations. We stayed at one of their homes and were very pleased with the home and the service provided by Smith Mountain Lake Vacation Rentals. They were very responsive to any concerns that we had.
Because of how much we enjoyed the lake, we decided to purchase a home at SML – our first endeavor of this kind. We had engaged with a different management company initially but were very disappointed with that company and ended that relationship before it started. We called Smith Mountain Lake Vacation Rentals, and the team there has been a great partner – super responsive and helpful to us since then. The team helped us get started, prepare our home for renters, and help keep the house clean, comfortable, and functional for our renters and us.
We know our home is in good hands when we are not there. The cleaning team does a great job keeping the house clean. The few times there have been issues (power outages, mechanical issues, etc.), the team was always quick to communicate with us and resolve the problem so that our renters could fully enjoy their time at our home.
