Autumn Holiday

This was our first year staying at a lake house and we couldnt have picked a more perfect home! It was very comfortable, the bed toppers were very appreciated and you had all we could ask for in the kitchen. We had a very nice vacation and wanted to be sure to thank you for having such a comfortable home! The staff at the Smith Mountain Lake Vacation Rental office were a true pleasure to work with!

We had a great time at the Autumn Holiday house. The house was clean and the interior looked even better than the pictures. The screened porch was nice and the trees provided a lot of shade in the backyard. This section of the lake is not super busy so it was a relaxing time. We had a great time and I would go back in a minute.

We were in the area to celebrate a family members graduation from Liberty University in Lynchburg and stayed over the long graduation weekend at this well-appointed home on the shore of the lake. The 3 bedroom/2 bath home was perfect for our party (grandparents, three year old grandson and his parents). Home was very clean when we arrived and nicely furnished. Even though Saturdays weather was rainy and chilly, having a private dock at the lake was a big hit for our family as was the screened-in porch that extends the living area. We also had bunnies and a small herd of deer at the top of the property each morning - such a treat! Be sure to read the FAQs and the What To Bring list provided by the rental company - it will be super helpful for a comfortable stay. Wed come again should we be in the area again. This property was perfect for my friends and I to have a quiet weekend getaway and has everything you need for a short or long stay. We enjoyed our time here and left relaxed and recharged. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cozy lake retreat.

We spent a week at this great little spot! 3 adults, plenty of room for a couple more. The rooms were simple and beds comfortable, the bathroom renovations look amazing and the kitchen has plenty of space. We enjoyed lounging with the lake view, on the recliners or the porch. The dock was nice, though hot without shoes, it was a neat location to see all the boat activity on the weekend. The basement is spacious for playtime with air hockey and lounging area. We enjoyed the loungers on the dock and the umbrella for some shade. Bring a compressor to inflate rafts, that always helps. Conveniently located near Moneta for groceries and such. We did not find anything to deter us from staying again.

We really liked this rental. The lake here is wide enough to use speed boat and wave runners right in front. The youngers of us thought that was great. The elders would have preferred more tranquility. We would return again!

We loved our stay at Autumn Holiday. We ate many meals on the screened porch overlooking the lake. We enjoyed the dock, renting a boat for a portion of the week. The floats were great. This part of the lake was beautiful with clear water and good fishing. We saw a family of otters one morning and deer everyday. The home was clean and well equipped. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed in Autumn Holiday at the lake and it was perfect. Not a huge home but had all we needed. I could stand in kitchen and look at lake and then turn around and watch the deer in the front. Was even able to enjoy the lake with the toys they provided. So relaxing and peaceful. All we heard was the ruffling of the leaves and the waves crushing against the embankment on screened porch. Would definitely stay again!!

The property was great. They had pretty much everything you needed. The screened in porch was wonderful to have our meals in. It was the perfect size for our family.

Our stay was amazing! The home was very clean, up to date, extremely cozy and perfect for kids and our puppy. Our favorite was just sitting on the screened in porch watching boats go by & having dinner on the dock with the convenient picnic table. We will definitely be back!!! I highly recommend using SMLR. My group and I loved the property! The inside was decorated so cute, and everything we needed was available in the kitchen. You have to bring your own towels/linens, but the bathrooms were clean & there were plenty of chairs to enjoy by the dock. I would definitely recommend this property/will be back again!
