There are opportunities for swimming, boating, fishing and all manners of water sports! This property has a large fam-tastic sandy beach area with 275 feet of water frontage. Dock with electricity and sitting area. This lake home has a well equipped kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. The first level has Two Queen bedrooms that share two full baths. Enjoy panoramic views from the deck and sunroom, which reveals Smith Mountain Lake's nature filled woods and lake views that are breathtaking (cue the deer). The third bedroom is located on the lower level off the den with Queen size bed. Lower level also has a TV, bar area and secondary access to the patio, path to the lake and fire pit.
The home has a large patio and covered carport on the side of the house made for relaxing and getting away from the sun for a bit. This area leads to the deck with gas grill and outdoor dining tables. Head on down to your private dock and float on a noodle while watching the comings and goings of sailboats and motor yachts. Bring your own boats or rent locally for a spectacular day of exploration along this beautiful stretch of shoreline. The swim ladder into the water makes an easy access point. The large sandy beach area is perfect for kids to wade in from the shore while parents watch nearby.
This home is completely furnished including dishes, silverware, coffee maker, pots and pans, cooking utensils etc. Just bring your sheets, towels and pillowcases, or feel free to order the linen package through our office. Plenty of parking space is available.
If you are fishing enthusiasts, like we are, you will find some of the best fishing in the state on Smith Mountain Lake. We catch bass, striper and sunfish right off the dock. Licenses can be purchased at most of our local stores or the State Park which are just a short drive away.

We had a fantastic time during our long weekend. The view from the house is beautiful and the location is ideal. The beach area made it great for our dog who loves to fetch the ball from the water. The boat dock had lots of room to gather at night and enjoy the light of the moon on the water which is so peaceful. We would definitely stay here again.

I needed a place to meet in the middle! Some were from CT, the rest from FL, and this was a convenient compromise. You are in a beautiful, rural lakefront spot. The lake, dock, and beach access were excellent and fun. The house is well-appointed and comfortable. The sunroom in the morning sun was delightful (especially Alice, our basset hound), and we enjoyed the card table in the evening. The rental company was very responsive with questions, but we honestly could not have bothered if we had read the house book. They checked in during the week to be sure everything was in order. To sum up the trip
Beautiful, quiet location and we enjoyed spending time on the dock. I would surely recommend it.

If you want to be on the water but away from craziness, this is an ideal getaway. Vacations for us are more about the "Who" and less about the "Where. We had a great week! Boating, tubing, and jet skiing. The house is fully stocked with everything we need. We traveled with two kiddos (5&7), parents, and grandparents, and the place was very accommodating for a family of 6. This quiet little cove provided precisely what our family needed. The vast private beach was the best part for our little ones, and Grand Pappy didnt mind lounging on the shoreline while keeping an eye on them! House was excellent, and we had plenty of room. The kitchen/, family room combo provided a great place to laugh and bond. The rental company was awesome to work with! Fun and easy to save dates for next year!!

We stayed at Flip Flop Hideway June 2022. The house was nice and spacious. The dock was also nice. We enjoyed the covered area for time out of the sun. The floater dock was plenty big enough for our 24ft pontoon boat. The covered porch was also convenient for getting out of the rain or sun. This is the 4th house we have rented and this one by far has the best access to the water. We were able to take everything down to the lake in a wagon.
