The area has so much to offer, from boating, fishing and wineries, to shopping, restaurants and hiking. Or stay in the abode the entire visit- sit back on the deck while gazing at the stars and then watch the deer go by in the morning while you enjoy a cup of coffee!
Situated on just under two-thirds of an acre and 265 feet of lakefront, deep water frontage, this location is known by local fisherman as one of the best fishing spots above the Bridge! Enjoy lake living in this updated 2 -bedroom, 3-bath home which sleeps seven comfortably. Entering the home on the main level, you will find gorgeous vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows with views of the water leading out to a large deck with plenty of outdoor seating and a propane gas firepit.
A beautiful very well equipped chef's kitchen with breakfast bar awaits your visit. The living area has a stunning gas fireplace with adjoining dining area. The King master bedroom is also on the main level with plenty of space, a 42" flat screen TV and adjacent full bath. Just upstairs you will find a loft sleeping area with 3 twin beds, perfect for the young ones. A Queen room and second full bath are also upstairs. The lower level offers a comfortable family room with second gas fireplace, game room with foosball table as well as a 70" flat screen smart TV, an additional full bath and laundry room. Outside enjoy the beautiful views of the lake from either of the two seating levels or from the dock area featuring a fun tiki bar equipped with mini-fridge and microwave, perfect for summer entertaining.

We had a wonderful time enjoying a relaxing get away at the A-Frame of Mind at Smith Mountain Lake. We enjoyed this cozy cabin in September. This cabin has everything you need to feel like a home away from home. We enjoyed grilling on the outdoor grill, fishing off the dock, canoeing, laughing, and creating fun memories at the outdoor and indoor fireplaces. We experienced an interesting encounter with a blue heron while canoeing which may end up on social media one day. The owners of this cozy cabin put a lot of love into their home. The guest guidebook had a lot of useful information and came in handy when looking for local restaurants and activities to enjoy. Thank you for sharing your charming and cozy A-frame home with us.

We enjoyed our stay last week! The house was clean upon arrival and check-in was easy. The rental agency who manages this location is excellent. We had a couple minor issues and Josie was quick to respond and texted follow ups as well. This house is far up the channel at marker 52 and is a 15 minute boat ride to Bridgewater Marina for reference. There is a small boat house and additional dock which we used to tie up our rental pontoon. The main dock is large and has a nice closet area to store floats, etc. The small mini fridge was helpful to have at the dock as well. Kitchen was well-equipped and the bedroom layouts were very nice and convenient. We enjoyed our stay!

Such a beautiful location! We had a nice, quiet stay. This house is packed with amenities, cookware and spices in the kitchen, etc. Theres no need to leave the property if you pack properly.

Thanks so much for hosting our stay. A Frame of Mind is beautiful. We had a wonderful weekend. We may have seen Fred and definitely saw your great blue heron, a belted kind fisher having some supper, and a deer swimming across the lake to escape a chasing dog!

We went over the river & through the woods for Thanksgiving this year. We rented the house for a peaceful family gathering as the location is mid-way between Pittsburg, Atlanta, & our home in Eastern Virginia. Though the color was faded & the leaves crunched underfoot, the scenic view of the lake from the yard, decks (there are two of them) & the pier is peaceful. It was quiet until my sons dog realized his echo barked back. The inside of the house was designed for comfort & visibility to the natural wonder around you. I loved the big movie room in the basement & the Jacuzzi, according to my hubby & kids after their bike ride, was wonderful. The hosts provided a plethora of watercraft & fun stuff which made us wish it was warmer outside & we had more time so we could make use of it all. I did get roasted by my kids at the foosball table. When something came up but the management company timely returned my call & reassured me that all was well. It was a delightful four days with family

A Frame of mind is beautiful and perfect for our family. We enjoyed the kayaks and canoe! The deck and views are gorgeous. The quiet cove is serene. Had a great dinner at Jakes and Drifters highly recommend both. Thanks for sharing your place with us!

I love windows and A Frame of Mind has plenty of them! Enjoy lake views from the two story windows in the kitchen & living room as well as sliders out the basement level. Two stories of deck areas allowed for our family to enjoy more lake views outside. The cul de sac location makes it quiet and peaceful. The open kitchen, fully equipped, was fantastic for cooking while interacting with family. The loft bedroom is so cozy and perfect for our three girls while the boys took over the basement. Having our dog with us was an extra bonus - they even had dog bowls & treats. This host thought of everything! We used the kayaks and canoe to go exploring and then rented a speedboat and jet ski one day too. Dock is perfect for both activities. A Frame of Mind will put you in the right frame of mind to experience the serenity of SML and enjoy time with family and friends.

Guests are responsible for taking their own trash to the collection facility. Directions are posted on the refrigerator to the closest location.
