The DeWitt Home is nesteled in the woods near the SML State Park area of the lake. This cozy rustic home offers the true meaning of unplugging and getting away from it all! This cabin is perfect for those who like to be in the trees and on the water!
There are two bedrooms one with a queen bed the second has 2 twin beds and one large bathroom with a shower and laundry area. The kitchen is simple but has all you need to cook, clean, warm and keep cold treats for your group.
The true charm is on the outside of the home! Sit on the deck and exchange stories of the day while cooking on the gas grill. You will certainly enjoy the private dock where fishing and swimming are readily at hand and you are able to get your boat under cover! This home does have good cell service but no wifi and an air antenna your televisions needs. If that is important to you, you may want to bring your own mobile hot spot! DeWitt will transported to a simpler time and get reacquainted with nature...and your loved ones in this vacation home!

Downside? A week is not enough! I need more time to unplug! A few minor disappointments (I need a Keurig & electric can opener), but everything else was perfect for my needs. This was one of multiple stays over the last eight years. I got what I came for: solitude, peace, quiet, quiet, and more. The turkey trail loop at the SML State Park was great, and I see new marvels every time I hike. Campfire at night along the shore, watching the woods and lake light up around me as the full moon rose. Just gorgeous!
I cant say enough about the comfort this place brings.

My family and I had a wonderful vacation at the Dewitt Home on Smith Mountain Lake. This was an amazing location right on the lake that offered lots of activities for my family. The dock created a great place for my kids to swim and just float on the lake. There was good fishing right off the deck on the edge of the lake. It was also conveniently located close to several restaurants and other recreations. Boat rental companies were just a few minutes down the road. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and created a relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much for giving my family the opportunity to enjoy your lovely home!

Fantastic Way to Celebrate! This was our first time staying at Smith Mountain Lake. The Dewitt home was perfect for us. The view is spectacular & the shade to sun ratio was great! Thank you for allowing us to celebrate our 20 year anniversary at your property.

We enjoyed our stay at Smith Mountain Lake very much. We have been coming there for about 20 years now. The weather was perfect all week. The DeWitt home met all our needs. We have stayed there may times before. The view of the lake, the property and sandy beach are a bonus. We will be back next year.
